BLOG CHALLENGE || Week 3: About Me Page

BLM M1 W3Welcome back for BLM Blog Challenge Week 3! I hope you have been enjoying the Challenge so far.  Check out the past tasks and be sure to sign up if you haven’t already. This week, we’re creating or updating our About Me Page!

Task: Create or update your About Me Page. The goal is to produce a virtual introduction to you and your blog that is visually stimulating and appealing.

You should definitely have an About Me Page. Some bloggers don’t but this is an opportunity to show that you’re relatable and easy to connect with. You want new visitors to get a general sense of who you are and what your blog is about. You should include several pictures of yourself, direct links to your most popular [niche] posts, contact information and links to your social media. Also incorporate your color scheme when possible.

You can check out my About Me page here.

If you have any questions, please post them below! Add a direct link to YOUR About Me page below when you’re done! Do you know another Blogger who would love this Challenge? Sharing is caring! It’s not too late to join this FREE Blog Challenge. Have them sign up here.

I struggled big time with my about page. It’s in better shape now than it was a few weeks ago but it’s a work in progress. I would also add that the About page is less about the person behind the blog and more about what you will offer your reader. One must strike a nice balance between “hello my name is + here’s how I can help you.” Here’s my About page http://www.inspiredbybeatriceclay.com/about/

This is very true! You definitely want to let people know what makes you stand out and WHY they should spend their precious time stopping by. Thanks, doll!

Hi, Bijee. I LOVE your About Page. I personally think when you speak in the third person though people may not feel as connected to you. So unless someone else wrote it about you, if it’s from you it might feel more personal if it was coming from you. I love what you are doing. I’m not following on all social media BUT the facebook page didn’t load. Looking forward to reading more from you!
