Healthy Eats | Veggetti Spiralizer – New Kitchen Gadget!

Veggetti SpiralizerI’m sure you dolls have noticed me sharing more about my vegetarian lifestyle both here and on Instagram.  Well, last night after my Trader Joe’s run I popped into Rite Aid and I stumbled upon a VEGGETTI!!! A Veggetti is essentially a spiralizer – a cool kitchen gadget that turns fresh veggies into faux-noodles by simply twisting. It’s really easy to use and a great way to decrease your carb intake and eat healthier.

The Veggetti spiralizer/slicer allows you to make low-carb pasta out of zucchini, squash and other vegetables instantly. You can also use it to slice veggies for stir fry or other quick, delicious dishes. The Veggetti spiralizer has dual stainless-steel cutting blades so you can make thin or thick pasta. Depending on the dish sometimes I prefer spaghetti and sometimes I prefer fettuccine so this is a nice feature to have. I was also excited to find the Veggetti because after reading reviews I learned that it’s actually sharper than most spiralizers which means the blades won’t dull as quickly and that it’s easier to use. I plan on using mine with zucchini, squash, carrots, cucumbers and potatoes to start.

I’ve only used it to shred some cucumbers in salad. I haven’t had time to really experiment yet. Soon!
